Welcome to Migrant Helpline

Migrant Helpline is funded to help newly arrived asylum seekers access support via the Home Office. Our reception offices are located in Millbank Reception Centre, Ashford and in Croydon, Surrey. The role of the reception assistant includes:

• Explaining immigration paperwork
  
  
• Delivering advice on entitlements
  
  
• Assisting with accessing support, including accommodation and financial support
  
  
• Delivering information to clients such as the importance of obtaining correct legal advice
  
  
• Enabling clients to access second-hand clothing from our Red Cross store
  
  
• Assisting clients in contacting any friends or family that may be able to offer support
  
  
• Providing contact with other specialist agencies such as the Medical Foundation for Victims of Torture
