Migrant Helpline is a charity involved with:
- Providing advice and support for asylum seekers and refugees entering and living in the UK
- Facilitating the integration of asylum seekers and refugees into the community
- Promoting awareness of asylum issues
The site provides accurate information on the plight of asylum seekers and refugees. The reason why people leave their own country and seek a new life in the UK is investigated; the stories of individuals who suffer persecution, discrimination and frequently torture offer an insight into the terrible misery and suffering that many have experienced at the hands of oppressive regimes and political and religious groups:
